The free-to-air satellite broadcast of the German parliament (Deutschen Bundestag) is ‘illegal’, according to Thomas Fuchs, chairman of ZAK, the commission on licensing and supervision of the media.
An agreement between Sky Deutschland and SES Astra’s HD+ platform to make reception of the two services on a common smart card possible seems likely, according to local press reports.
SES Astra has announced that it has signed a long-term agreement with M7 Group for an additional transponder on Astra at 23.5 degrees East. The capacity will be used for the continued transmission of Dutch regional broadcasters as well as for additional HD services.
