New growth in Portugal pay-TV

The number of subscribers to pay-TV services in Portugal increased by 1.2% in the first quarter of 2014. As of the end of March regulator Anacom reported 3.21 million subscribers, 38,700 more than in the previous quarter, and 80,700 year on year.

No Anacom intervention in DTT pricing

Anacom approves Portuguese ASO

Portuguese TV regulator Anacom has given its approval to the country’s analogue switch-off plan. A number of minor adjustments have been made to the three-phase plan that will commence on January 12, 2012, when transmitters and relays for transmitters on the coast of the Portuguese mainland will be turned off.
