US media group iMedia Brands has signed a purchase agreement to acquire German teleshopping channel 1-2-3.tv from German investment company Arcus Capital for an enterprise value of around $95 million.
German home shopping channel 1-2-3.tv will remain available in SD and HD resolution to DTH households via the Astra satellite system (19.2° East).
Home-shopping channel 1-2-3.tv can now be received via DVB-T2 throughout Germany.
Munich-based investment company Arcus Capital along with BE Beteiligungen Fonds has taken over German teleshopping channel 1-2-3.tv from financial investors Wellington Partners, Target Partners and Cipio Partners.
German teleshopping broadcaster 1-2-3.tv will continue to use the technical services of MX1 and has extended its contract with the subsidiary of Astra satellite operator SES for several years.
