Setanta Sports Ukraine and the mixed martial arts organisation UFC have signed an agreement to extend UFC broadcast rights through the end of 2024.
Setanta Sports will continue to be the only channel in Ukraine where fight fans can see all UFC Live Events. In addition, Setanta Sports will also broadcast shoulder programming such as UFC Connected and Reloaded. All UFC content featured on Setanta will be available with Ukrainian commentary and voiceovers.
Commenting on the development, Dwyer McCaughley, CEO of Setanta Sports, said: “When Setanta Sports launched in Ukraine in 2019, securing the broadcast rights for UFC was a priority. In the last two years our partnership with UFC has seen the sport grow in popularity in Ukraine due to the quality of the competition and the high end production of events. We are excited to have signed an extension to the rights which confirms Setanta Sports as the home of UFC up to the end of 2024. Offering a wide range of sports from around the world with expert Ukrainian language commentary will cement Setanta Sports position as the premier international sports broadcaster in Ukraine”.
