Red Bee Media, which manages the content for the BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, Channel 4’s 4oD, Channel 5’s Demand Five and the Virgin Media Player, has developed what it describes as “the first broadcast quality online video platform”.
Multichoice Cyprus in liquidation
MultiChoice (Cyprus) Public Company Ltd has been put into voluntary liquidation by its owners Forthnet Group. In a statement Forthnet said the decision had been taken at an Extraordinary General Meeting as the company was no longer able to meet its financial obligations.

About 338 million digital homes were added around the world between 2006 and 2010, according to a new report from Digital TV Research. The Digital TV World Databook estimated that this took the digital TV household total for the 73 countries covered to 576 million.
BSkyB launches Sky Go multiscreen play
