Disney Channel is to launch on digital terrestrial television in Italy. However, unlike Spain where Disney has recently announced a free-to-air offer, Disney Channel Italy will be part of the new Mediaset Premium Gallery that launches on July 1.
Disney Channel has said its free to air DTT service will move to the Spanish DTT platform on July 1. The decision follows ten years as a premium channel on Spanish cable. Nevertheless, the move is expected to be a welcome boost to digital terrestrial television in Spain.
UPC has signed an agreement with Disney-ABC International Television to offer series such as Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy and Criminal Minds on the UPC On Demand service in The Netherlands.

Eurosport and National Geographic Channel have been added to the HD tier of Sweden’s largest cable operator Com Hem.
