Dražen Mavric was born in Zagreb in 1969. He received a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Zagreb. After graduating he gained a Diploma in Management at The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, as well as a Diploma in International Business at Bristol University in England. Mavric also received an Executive MBA from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees in Paris, France. Mavric is a certified accountant from the ACCA-Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of England and Wales.
From 1997 to 2001, Mavric was the Assistant Manager in KPMG Croatia working as a consultant and financial advisor on major acquisitions, privatization projects and corporate portfolio analysis for major clients in banking, telecommunications and brewery.
Mavric joined Nova TV after spending two years as a Member of Crisis Management Team in major meat company where he was in charge of finance, IT and Legal Affairs working on financial consolidation and company restructuring.
He became General Director of Nova TV in November 2005 after 12 months of serving as Director of Finance. Nova TV has since became not only a market leader in terms of viewer ratings, but also as the most innovative and technologically advanced broadcaster in the country.
Dražen Mavric lives in Zagreb with his wife, daughter and son.
