Claudio Paraschiv is currently Technical Director of ProTV, the TV market leader in Romania and part of the CME group that operates in seven CEE territories (Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia). He started working as an engineer for ProTV right after graduating the Bucharest Technical University in 1995, when the channel was actually launched; afterwards he was appointed as chief of studios (1999), director of production resources (2001) and finally technical operations director (2002). Between 2008 and 2013 he was responsible for the technical operations and technology development, not only for Romania but also for the whole CME group.
Claudio’s key achievements include the transition to HD and file based workflows in all CME countries, heavy involvement in building HD television facilities for CME operations in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia, as well as in the developing process of Voyo, CME’s SVOD service
Claudio is 41 years old, married with two sons. He graduated from the Technical University of Bucharest (specialising in electronics) in 1995 and Academy for Economic Studies in Bucharest (specialising in finances and banking) in 1999.
