Milan Jankovic is a member of the IEEE and holds B.Sc. (1975), M.Sc. (1990) and Ph.D.EE (1999) degrees from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Department. After 14 years in the telecom industry, where he was responsible for introducing new technologies and products, he joined the Community of Yugoslav PTT in 1990 as the project leader in the R&D department, in charge of development and implementation of access network architectures. He participated in three EURESCOM projects, namely “Implementation Frameworks for Integrated Wireless – Optical Access Networks”, “UMTS Radio Access” and “Open Service Access for 3G Mobile Networks”. From December 2002 to March 2006, he was the DG of the Community of Yugoslav PTT. He was elected assistant professor at the Telecommunication Department, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. He has published more than 120 papers in proceedings of international and national conferences and in international (IEEE Communication) and national magazines. He is also the co-author of the book “Access Networks”. Dr Jankovic is currently the executive director of the Republic Telecommunication Agency of the Republic of Serbia (RATEL).
