German pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland has secured a long-term extension of its ATP Tour broadcasting agreement, retaining exclusive live rights to the men’s tennis competitions across Germany, Austria and Switzerland until the end of 2033.
The renewed agreement between Sky Deutschland and ATP Media covers all distribution platforms and includes public viewing rights for commercial venues such as hotels, bars and restaurants through Sky Business. The rights also extend to Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and South Tyrol.
Under the deal, Sky Sport will continue to broadcast all ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, the Nitto ATP Finals, most ATP 500 events and extensive coverage of ATP 250 tournaments. The broadcaster will also continue to air the Next Gen ATP Finals.
According to the broadcaster, Sky Sport’s tennis portfolio now comprises more than 100 tournaments and over 5,000 hours of live coverage annually across the ATP Tour, the WTA Tour and the US Open.
“The final years of the careers of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, the phenomenon of Novak Djokovic, the beginning of the new era led by Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, as well as the many major successes of Alexander Zverev: for almost ten years Sky Sport has been the undisputed home of tennis in Germany and will remain so for the long term. Together with all tennis fans, we look forward to world-class tennis on the ATP Tour and many more unforgettable moments,” said Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialisation at Sky Deutschland.
Mark Webster, Chief Executive Officer of ATP Media, added: “Sky has long been a trusted partner and we are delighted to extend our collaboration with the company to continue delivering great entertainment for fans.”
Sky has held ATP Tour rights since 2017. The broadcaster also offers coverage via its Sky Stream platform and streaming service WOW.
