Caterina Preti will take over as Managing Director of Sky Österreich on 1 June 2026, leading the development of German pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland’s Austrian business.
In her new role, Preti will report to Michael Radelsberger, currently head of Sky in Austria, who is set to become Chief Consumer Officer at RTL Deutschland on 1 June. Preti will be responsible for driving growth in the Austrian market as part of the broader joint strategy between Sky Deutschland and its new parent company RTL Deutschland.
Sky Österreich will play a key role in their combined growth and transformation plans, with a focus on expanding the streaming business, rolling out WOW in Austria in autumn 2026, and further developing the sports and entertainment portfolio, according to both companies.
“With Caterina Preti we are gaining an experienced and strategically strong media manager for Sky Österreich. She brings the right combination of entrepreneurial expertise, innovative strength and market understanding to successfully lead Sky Österreich into its next phase of growth. Austria is an important market for the shared future of RTL and Sky. Together we want to further expand our leading positions and in future also operate in the market for RTL, together with the future colleagues of RTL Ad Alliance Austria,” said Radelsberger.
Preti added: “I am very much looking forward to shaping the next growth steps together with the Sky Österreich team. Sky has strong content, high innovative strength and a clear positioning in the Austrian market. At the same time, the cooperation with RTL offers enormous potential to reach new audiences and expand partnerships.”
Preti has been with Sky Deutschland since 2021 and most recently served as Senior Vice President responsible for the streaming unit WOW. Prior to that, she was Director Innovation & Business Development at Warner Media in London and worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group. She studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science and University College London.
