
Sky News is launching a paid podcast subscription bundle, Sky News Insider: Podcasts, priced at £2.99 per month.
The service launches on June 15 and will offer ad-free listening, bonus episodes, early access to new series and weekly newsletter content from Sky News presenters and correspondents.
It is the first additive paid-for news product from Sky News and comes as listens to its podcasts have increased 102% year-on-year across Apple, YouTube and Spotify.
Subscribers will receive extras from shows including Electoral Dysfunction and Trump 100, plus early access and bonus episodes from Stuff Matters, a new six-part series from economics and data editor Ed Conway.
The package will also include early access to live show tickets, a community forum and exclusive insight from hosts including Beth Rigby, Harriet Harman, Ruth Davidson, Martha Kelner, James Matthews and Mark Stone.
David Rhodes, executive chairman of Sky News, said the subscription brings together bonus content, community, events and other benefits around Sky News’ “most-popular and trusted voices”.
Beth Rigby, Sky News’ political editor, said the launch would give listeners more content and conversation around major political stories.
The subscription product will be powered by Supporting Cast.
