German industry association Deutsche TV-Plattform is relaunching its public brand identity, introducing a new name, logo and website in time for trade show ANGA COM 2026.
As part of the relaunch, the organisation will primarily operate under the abbreviation DTVP, moving away from the full “Deutsche TV-Plattform” name in external communications. The change is intended to support internationalisation and reflect its broader focus on the full media ecosystem beyond traditional linear television, according to DTVP.
The updated visual identity includes a redesigned wordmark and symbol built around a circular motif intended to represent the various stakeholders within the organisation, including broadcasters, platform operators, regulators, researchers, device manufacturers and developers. The branding system uses five core colours and is designed to allow different working groups, events and publications to adopt distinct visual variants while remaining under a unified corporate identity.
“The time had come to fundamentally modernise the visual identity of DTVP,” said Managing Director Nicole Ludwig. “With more than 50 members across all areas of the TV value chain and a wide range of working groups, the organisation delivers excellent technical work, but our public appearance could no longer credibly reflect that story.”
Ludwig added: “The graphic relaunch gives us a brand that is as dynamic as the industry it represents.”
The new branding will make its first public appearance at ANGA COM, taking place from 19 to 21 May in Cologne. At the same time, the association’s new website will go live, alongside updated templates and communication materials.
The rebranding project was developed by Bolditalic in cooperation with the DTVP management office.
Founded in 1990, DTVP brings together more than 50 companies and institutions from across the German-speaking media market, including broadcasters, infrastructure providers, device manufacturers, research organisations and federal authorities. The association focuses on open standards and collaborative projects for television and streaming services across the DACH region.
