Sky has commissioned a second series of Saturday Night Live UK, with 12 new episodes due to air from September.
The British version of NBC’s long-running late-night comedy format will return to Sky One, with episodes running between autumn 2026 and early 2027.
The renewal comes ahead of the end of the first series, which has featured hosts including Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed, Jack Whitehall, Nicola Coughlan and Aimee Lou Wood.
Executive producer Lorne Michaels said he was “incredibly proud” of the team, adding that the show “keeps getting better every week”.
Phil Edgar Jones, executive director of unscripted originals at Sky, said SNL UK had become “Sky’s most talked about show of the year” and was now “firmly part of the cultural conversation”.
The remaining episodes of series 1 will be hosted by Hannah Waddingham on May 9, with musical guest Myles Smith, and Ncuti Gatwa on May 16, joined by Holly Humberstone.
SNL UK is produced by UTAS UK and Broadway Video for Sky and NOW.
