Warner Bros. Discovery will broadcast the 2026 Roland-Garros French Open in UHD HDR via Eurosport 4K on German TV platform HD+ from 24 May to 7 June.
The UHD event channel Eurosport 4K will be available to viewers with a UHD TV set, DTH satellite reception via Astra (19.2° East) and an active HD+ package, with all matches from the main court – including semi-finals and finals – shown in UHD HDR with German commentary and without commercial breaks. The coverage will be carried on the UHD1 by HD+ channel across the 15 tournament days.
The tournament returns with a changed men’s field after defending champion Carlos Alcaraz was forced to withdraw due to injury, ensuring a new winner in Paris. Germany’s Alexander Zverev is among the contenders, alongside Italy’s Jannik Sinner, while Coco Gauff aims to defend her women’s title.
“The French Open thrive on intensity, passion and outstanding images. With Eurosport 4K and our strong partner HD+, we capture these moments in exceptional UHD HDR quality and bring them directly into the living room – close to the action and full of emotion,” said Matthias Heinze, SVP Commercial & Managing Director Germany, Switzerland & Austria at Warner Bros. Discovery.
Andreas Schulz, Head of Product Management at HD Plus, added: “Roland-Garros has long been a must-watch for tennis fans – and in UHD HDR the tournament becomes even more impressive on TV screens. With Eurosport 4K on UHD1, viewers can enjoy this highlight in the best possible quality, and HD+ app users receive automatic UHD notifications so they don’t miss any key moments.”
The UHD broadcast will cover all matches from Court Philippe-Chatrier, delivering around 120 hours of live tennis in UHD HDR quality.
