TV streaming provider Zattoo is expanding its streaming offer in Switzerland, making all channels from public broadcaster SRG SSR available in Full HD resolution for subscribers on its Ultimate tier.
The upgrade delivers visibly sharper images across news, entertainment and live sport, a timely enhancement ahead of this summer’s football World Cup.
The Full HD line up includes the German language channels SRF 1, SRF zwei and SRF info, as well as RTS 1, RTS 2, RSI LA 1 and RSI LA 2. In total, seven SRG services are now streamed in Full HD. The higher resolution streams are available immediately on all compatible devices with a suitable internet connection.
The move forms part of Zattoo’s strategy to offer the best possible picture quality across all platforms. With the Ultimate subscription, customers now have access to 374 TV channels, including 118 in Full HD and 202 in HD resolution.
“With the switch to Full HD, we are marking another milestone in the continuous improvement of our offering. We are seeing a clear trend among our customers towards the big screen. That is where the added value of Full HD becomes particularly visible for content such as sport – for example the upcoming Football World Cup – as well as for elaborately produced films and documentary formats,” said Zattoo CEO Tina Rodriguez.
