Belden has agreed to acquire Ruckus Networks from Vistance Networks for approximately $1.85 billion (€1.72 billion).
The deal will see Belden expand into enterprise Wi-Fi and switching, positioning the company as a full-stack provider of end-to-end IT and operational technology networking solutions.
Ruckus serves more than 48,000 customers globally and offers a portfolio spanning Wi-Fi, enterprise switching and AI-driven cloud networking platforms designed for high-density environments.
Belden said the acquisition would significantly expand its addressable market and strengthen its offering in key verticals including hospitality, education and healthcare, while also creating new opportunities in industrial networking.
Ashish Chand, president and CEO of Belden, said the deal would “accelerate our transformation into a full-stack networking solutions provider”, adding that the combined business would deliver “a broader, higher-value networking solution” across enterprise and industrial markets.
The transaction is expected to be immediately accretive to earnings, with Ruckus bringing higher margins and strong cash generation. Belden said it expects to reduce net leverage to below 3.0x within the first year after completion and to around 1.5x by 2029.
The acquisition has been approved by both companies’ boards and is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
