German broadcaster Sportdigital has expanded its live sports portfolio with rights to the new European Football Alliance (EFA) and the US-based United Football League (UFL), with coverage beginning in May 2026.
The deals will bring live American football from Europe and the United States to pay-TV channel Sportdigital1+ and streaming service Sportdigital+.
The newly launched European Football Alliance will begin its inaugural season with six teams from four countries. Participating clubs include Frankfurt Galaxy, Munich Ravens, Paris Musketeers, Prague Lions, Raiders Tirol and Nordic Storm.
Sportdigital will show the match of the week live on linear television each round, alongside selected additional fixtures. Coverage begins on 15 May with Frankfurt Galaxy against Paris Musketeers.
The broadcaster has also secured rights to the United Football League, positioning the competition as off-season programming during the National Football League break. Coverage starts from week 6 and includes the remainder of the regular season and the full play-offs, including the semi-finals and championship game.
The first live UFL match on Sportdigital1+ will be DC Defenders versus Dallas Renegades on 2 May. Additional matches will be available via Sportdigital+.
