DAZN and the German Football Association will launch a new phase of their partnership at the end of May 2026, when DFB’s linear channel DFB.TV becomes available on the sports streaming service across Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) at no extra cost to subscribers.
The deal adds a dedicated German football hub to DAZN’s portfolio, centred on behind-the-scenes coverage of the men’s and women’s national teams, including during the FIFA World Cup 2026. The channel will provide access during training camps, internationals and major tournaments, alongside daily updates and documentary-style reporting from team environments.
DFB.TV will also carry more than 250 live matches per year spanning youth internationals, the 2. Women’s Bundesliga, the Finaltag der Amateure, as well as futsal, beach soccer and eFootball competitions. The live offering is complemented by original programming, interviews, documentaries and archive content.
A significant editorial focus will be placed on grassroots and development topics, including talent pathways, refereeing and amateur football, broadening DAZN’s existing rights portfolio with a deeper, federations-led perspective.
The channel’s archive component includes historic matches and key moments from European Championships and World Cups, alongside DFB Cup classics and other landmark fixtures involving Germany’s national teams.
DFB will launch DFB.TV on 22 May in a joint venture with Sportainment Media Group on cable, satellite, IPTV and OTT, as a 24/7 service targeting Germany’s estimated 35 million football fans.
