Redge Technologies has acquired the intellectual property rights to the NativeWaves EXP platform and its associated patent portfolio, in a move to strengthen its position in the OTT and sports broadcasting technology markets.
The Warsaw-based streaming technology provider said the asset deal with Austria’s NativeWaves AG includes full rights to the Event Experience Platform, along with patents covering multimedia synchronisation and content distribution.
NativeWaves EXP enables broadcasters and content providers to create interactive video experiences, including multi-view functionality, instant replays, live data integration and personalised features designed to increase engagement and viewing time.
The platform also incorporates content orchestration technology to manage transcoding and distribution workflows across multiple regions, supporting low latency and scalability for live events.
Redge said the acquisition aligns with its strategy to expand its offering in advanced OTT solutions, particularly in sports, where interactivity and personalisation are becoming increasingly important for attracting younger audiences.
The company added that the platform is already in use by a major Polish broadcaster, demonstrating its readiness for large-scale deployment.
Przemysław Frasunek, CEO of Redge Technologies, said the deal represents a milestone, allowing the company to offer a more complete next-generation OTT ecosystem, spanning both infrastructure and interactive viewing experiences.
Redge plans to further develop the platform and expand its use across additional markets and segments, including live entertainment and television broadcasting.
