Slovak terrestrial pay-TV platform Plustelka will transition its second multiplex to the DVB-T2 broadcasting standard on April 14, 2026, as part of a wider modernisation of its DTT infrastructure.
The change will be carried out progressively during the day across all transmitters and may require viewers to retune their television sets or set-top boxes in order to continue receiving affected services.
Plustelka said channels including TA3, JOJ Plus, JOJ Krimi and Sport 2 could disappear from screens if receivers are not retuned after the migration.
The operator said the move is intended to improve broadcast quality and make more efficient use of transmission capacity, while creating room for further service development.
Customers have been advised to complete retuning by April 14. In the case of set-top boxes, retuning will be necessary, while some television sets may adjust automatically. Plustelka has also recommended manual retuning of multiplex 2 where required.
The company said the programme line-up and pricing will remain unchanged following the transition.
Viewers can check whether their devices support DVB-T2 by confirming reception of free-to-air channels such as STVR Šport HEVC or TV LUX, both of which already use the standard.
Plustelka has published tuning guides on its website and said customer support is available by email and phone for users needing assistance.
