Sunrise is expanding its entertainment strategy by allowing all customers – including those without a TV subscription – to sign up for streaming services directly through the Swiss telco.
The move brings sport and entertainment platforms under a single, centralised umbrella and aligns existing and new customers under the same promotional offers.
According to Sunrise, customers with a mobile, Internet or Home Security subscription can now add streaming services via the online shop, Sunrise stores, the hotline, My Sunrise or the TV Box. Previously, access to integrated streaming and TV sport content was limited to those with a Sunrise Internet & TV package.
“In line with our entertainment strategy, we’re making our entertainment offering simpler and more flexible than ever before. The most popular sport and entertainment streaming services can now be subscribed to entirely independently of a TV subscription. We’re now offering our entire subscriber base the option to subscribe to, manage and switch between streaming services all in one place. This gives access to an entertainment platform that’s unrivalled for choice, convenience and transparency,” said André Krause, CEO of Sunrise.
Sunrise began integrating streaming services into its TV Box in 2023, enabling customers to subscribe, manage and switch between platforms through the TV Shop with charges consolidated on the monthly Sunrise bill. The same functionality is available in My Sunrise, offering a clearer overview of costs and contract terms. The new expansion extends this convenience to all Sunrise subscribers, regardless of whether they take a TV product.
The operator has introduced a new “Entertainment” category on its website to reflect the broadened offer. To promote the platform, Sunrise is launching a streaming services campaign that applies equally to existing and new customers.
