BBC Studios, CosmoBlue extend partnership into Turkey and MENA

March 31, 2026 11.56 Europe/London By Julian Clover

BBC Studios and CosmoBlue Media have widened their strategic partnership with the launch of the COSMO EN channel and BBC Player in Turkey.

COSMO EN is now available on D-Smart, Tivibu, beIN and Kablo TV, while BBC Player has gone live on the COSMO GO app. Further platform launches are expected as the two companies continue the rollout with additional operators.

The deal also marks the start of a broader expansion across the Middle East and North Africa, where the partners plan to introduce the full range of services.

COSMO EN will carry a curated line-up of BBC Studios programming, spanning drama, factual entertainment, natural history and children’s content. Titles highlighted at launch include Go Jetters, Grace’s Amazing Machines, Planet Earth, Top Gear, Luther and Ripper Street.

BBC Player, meanwhile, will offer more than 1,000 hours of on-demand content for CosmoGO Extra users, covering drama, documentaries, nature and family programming. BBC Studios said the offer will expand further in later phases of the rollout.

Berk Uziyel, co-founder and group CEO of CosmoBlue Media, said the launches marked the first step in an expanded strategic partnership designed to bring British programming to audiences across the wider MENAT region.

Bartosz Witak, SVP and general manager for CEE, MENA and Turkey at BBC Studios, added the collaboration reflected the company’s ambition to broaden its regional reach and deliver premium entertainment tailored to local audience tastes.

Alongside COSMO EN and BBC Player, CosmoBlue Media will also support the regional distribution of BBC Studios channels including BBC First, BBC Earth and CBeebies across Türkiye and MENA.
