The NASCAR Euro Series will expand its footprint in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from 2026 after signing a major broadcast partnership with German broadcaster Sportdigital.
The agreement establishes a new premium home for the championship in one of Europe’s most competitive motorsport markets. Financial details have not been disclosed. Until now, the series had been broadcast in the region by motor sports channel Motorvision TV.
Under the deal, Sportdigital will air every NASCAR Euro Series V8GP championship race live on its linear channel Sportdigital1+ and via the Sportdigital+ app. The broadcaster will also provide extensive coverage of the OPEN championship, with selected races shown live throughout the 2026 season. In addition, Sportdigital has secured rights to the official highlights show, which will deliver two 26‑minute recap episodes after each event.
Coverage on Sportdigital1+ will be led by Pete Fink, widely known as the “voice of NASCAR” in Germany. A veteran commentator and author of four books on NASCAR history, Fink brings deep expertise and strong recognition among fans. He will be joined by reporter Andre Wiegold, who continues his grid and pitlane duties for the European series.
“Germany is one of our most important and most demanding markets, and we are delighted to partner with a broadcaster that shares our vision of pure, elite level racing,” said Jerome Galpin, CEO and President of the NASCAR Euro Series. “By working with Sportdigital and a professional of Pete Fink’s calibre in the commentary booth, we are offering our fans a first class television experience that reflects the intensity and prestige of our racing on track.”
Sportdigital Managing Director Gisbert Wundram added: “NASCAR already excites our viewers with races from the Cup Series in the United States. With the Euro Series, we are deliberately expanding our live offering and will bring even more thrilling NASCAR racing from Europe to our audience.”
Beyond the German speaking markets, the NASCAR Euro Series confirmed two additional broadcast agreements: CYTA Vision will carry the championship in Cyprus, while AZAM TV becomes the new partner for Tanzania. The expansion underscores the series’ ambition to grow its international reach and bring American style stock car racing to new audiences.
The organisation also credited ICARUS Sports, its long‑standing media rights partner, for playing a key role in securing the new deals and elevating the championship’s global profile.
