Warner Bros. Discovery is expanding its sports television offer in Poland with the launch of Eurosport 3 and Eurosport 4 from April 1.
The two new channels will initially be available through 34 satellite and cable operators and are intended to complement the existing Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 services, giving viewers access to a broader range of live sport and archive programming.
Eurosport 3 will carry all rounds of the Speedway Grand Prix, bringing the competition to cable and satellite viewers after it had previously been shown mainly on encrypted channels or via streaming. The channel will also feature NBA coverage, additional Grand Slam tennis matches from the Australian Open, Roland-Garros and US Open, plus figure skating, speed skating and short track.
Eurosport 4 will focus on extra Grand Slam coverage, including matches from a fourth court, alongside sports documentaries and archive events aimed at Polish audiences. These will include the Polish men’s volleyball team’s Olympic semi-final against the United States, Robert Kubica’s Le Mans win, the World Championships ski jumping competition from Seefeld and selected Iga Świątek matches from the Grand Slams.
Both channels will also carry men’s and women’s cycling, selected winter sports, Eurosport podcasts and locally produced sports documentaries.
Michał Walewski, affiliate sales senior director, said the rollout forms part of a wider sports package that began with the earlier launch of Eurosport 3 alongside the NBA season, and added that talks are continuing with distribution partners to extend the reach of the channels.
Łukasz Fijałkowski, operations director at Eurosport, said the new services combine premium sports rights such as Speedway Grand Prix, Grand Slam tennis and the NBA with a wider mix of niche sports, archive programming and local factual content.
