yallo TV adds AI‑generated video previews with Media Distillery

March 26, 2026 09.19 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Swiss telco provider yallo has expanded the content discovery capabilities of its streaming service yallo TV by introducing auto‑generated video previews, powered by Media Distillery’s Preview Distillery technology.

The enhancement increases the availability of highlights clips by around 20%, giving viewers faster access to relevant programmes across devices, according to yallo.

yallo TV already offers editorially curated highlights – short previews that showcase key moments from shows, films and upcoming events such as sports. With the integration of Media Distillery’s AI‑driven solution, the platform is now adding spoiler‑free, 15-20‑second auto‑generated previews in German, French and Italian. Around 200 clips will be produced each month without requiring additional editorial work, according to the companies.

“With the ever‑increasing availability of content, we want to support viewers find relevant content quickly. The solution of Media Distillery allows us to expand the availability of clips for more engaging content efficiently,” said Stefan Fuchs, Chief Consumer Officer – Flanker Brands at yallo’s parent company Sunrise.

Media Distillery CEO Roland Sars added: “We are proud to deliver auto‑generated Highlights to yallo TV, especially given that they already create high‑quality editorial clips,” he said. “Preview Distillery helps yallo TV scale its content discovery without compromising on quality, making it easier for viewers to find and enjoy the best of their library.”

yallo TV’s editorial team currently produces around 80 highlights per week for catch‑up content and event promotions. The new AI‑generated clips are integrated via Media Distillery’s API, allowing the service to blend both editorial and automated previews for a broader and more diverse user experience.

Media Distillery, based in Amsterdam, provides AI‑driven video analysis solutions to broadcasters, streaming services and pay‑TV operators. Its technology is used by major providers including Altice, Deutsche Telekom, Liberty Global and Telia, reaching more than 30 million households.

yallo, part of Swiss network operator Sunrise, offers mobile, internet and TV services in Switzerland, including the free entry‑level service yallo Free TV.
