ProSiebenSat.1 is selling its comparison platforms billiger‑mietwagen.de and CamperDays, continuing the streamlining of its commerce & ventures portfolio.
According to the German media company, billiger‑mietwagen.de, operated by Floyt Mobility, will be acquired by a group led by investment firm Pivotum Capital, while CamperDays will move to a consortium of private investors.
Financial details were not disclosed. Completion is expected by the end of April and has already been reflected in the Group’s 2026 outlook, published today.
The deal follows last week’s sale of marketing firms esome and Kairion to Pivotum Capital. The spin-offs are part of ProSiebenSat.1’s strategy of sharpening its focus on its core entertainment business.
“With the sale of billiger‑mietwagen.de and CamperDays, we are further advancing the Group’s strategic focus on its core entertainment business,” said Florian Hirschberger, CEO of Commerce & Ventures at ProSiebenSat1. “Both brands have established strong positions in their respective markets. We are confident that they will successfully shape their next phase of growth under their new owners.”
Pivotum Capital, which is taking over billiger‑mietwagen.de, said it sees significant potential in the platform and its French counterpart Carigami. “billiger‑mietwagen.de is one of the leading digital car rental platforms in Germany, with high brand awareness, a strong customer base, and a scalable business model,” said Björn Jopen, Partner at Pivotum Capital. “We see great potential to work with the management to further develop the platform and its French counterpart Carigami – both strategically and operationally – and to focus even more strongly on profitable growth.”
Floyt Mobility, which includes billiger‑mietwagen.de and Carigami.fr, provides price comparison and booking options from more than 2,000 car rental companies in over 170 countries. The brand has been heavily promoted on ProSiebenSat.1’s TV channels since its acquisition in 2013 and now serves more than two million customers.
CamperDays, positioned as Europe’s leading comparison platform for motorhomes and campervans, is being sold to private investors. The company offers access to more than 40,000 rental vehicles at over 750 pick‑up locations in 34 countries and operates 14 international domains. Founded in 2013 and acquired by ProSiebenSat.1 the same year as part of the SilverTours deal, CamperDays was spun off as an independent company in 2023.
