Roku has launched five new FAST channels from ITV Studios in the UK, extending a partnership that saw more than 40 FAST services added to the platform last year.
The new channels are The Graham Norton Show, Hell’s Kitchen, Hotel Inspector, River Monsters and British Screen Classics. They are available free of charge across new and existing Roku devices in the UK.
Roku said the channels are integrated into The Roku Channel and the Live TV Guide, making them accessible across Roku TV models and streaming players.
The additions strengthen Roku’s line-up in entertainment, reality and film, while giving ITV Studios further distribution for a number of established programme brands in the UK FAST market.
Tom Price, director of content distribution for Europe and Australia at Roku, said the launch reflected the company’s commitment to expanding locally relevant FAST content and making popular programming available without subscription fees.
Graham Haigh, COO of Zoo 55, said the agreement would bring some of ITV Studios’ best-known titles to more viewers across the UK and help keep its catalogue prominent in the changing streaming market.
The partnership was led by Jane Dribinskaya, VP FAST and DTC partnerships at Zoo 55, and Albert Rabago, content acquisition manager at Roku.
Viewers can access the channels through The Roku Channel and Roku’s Live TV Guide, or search for them individually by name.
