Sport Klub channels are set to disappear from Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1 April, to be replaced by a wider line-up of Arena Sport services.
The move follows Telekom Srbija’s February 2025 agreement to acquire certain Sport Klub rights, licences and related assets in the Western Balkans, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, from United Group.
Arena Sport said viewers in Bosnia and Herzegovina would receive a broader sports offer from April, with additional live matches and events as well as new exclusive content.
The development is the latest step in the reshaping of the regional sports TV market following Telekom Srbija’s deal with United Group. Telekom Srbija said at the time of the acquisition that it was taking over Sport Klub rights and related assets across several Western Balkan markets, while market observers described the agreement as ending the long-running battle between Arena Sport and Sport Klub for premium sports rights.
There are also suggestions that the consolidation could ease pressure on sports rights costs. Reports citing Telekom Srbija chief executive Vladimir Lučić have suggested that with fewer rival bids in tenders, end-user package pricing could improve over time.
