HBO Max confirms pricing and bundles ahead of UK and Ireland launch

March 19, 2026 00.01 Europe/London By Julian Clover

HBO Max will launch in the UK and Ireland on 26 March, with parent company Warner Bros. Discovery confirming a range of subscription plans and bundled offers including sports ahead of the service’s arrival.

The streamer will bring together programming from HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Television, DC Studios and Max Originals in one platform for the first time in the UK and Ireland. It will be available direct-to-consumer and through distribution partners including Sky in both markets and Amazon’s Prime Video in the UK.

Pricing will start at £4.99 per month for the Basic with Ads tier, rising to £5.99 for Standard with Ads, £9.99 for Standard and £14.99 for Premium. The service will also offer bundles with TNT Sports, which moves to HBO Max from Discovery+ in the UK as part of the launch.

Warner Bros. Discovery is introducing “Saver Plans” for customers taking both HBO Max entertainment and TNT Sports on a 12-month term, offering savings of between £107.88 and £131.88 per year depending on the tier selected. A standalone TNT Sports subscription through HBO Max will also be available at £25.99 per month on a 12-month plan, compared with £30.99 on a monthly rolling basis. The sports channel is currently displaying a countdown as part of its on screen logo promoting the upcoming switch in streaming stadiums.

The platform will be available across a wide range of connected devices including smart TVs, set-top boxes and consoles, with support for up to five user profiles and features such as personalised recommendations, offline downloads on selected plans and parental controls.

At launch the catalogue will include series and films from across the Warner Bros Discovery portfolio. Titles highlighted for the UK and Ireland include The Pitt, the upcoming HBO series Lanterns based on the Green Lantern franchise, and the planned Harry Potter television adaptation.

Subscribers will also gain access to extensive HBO and Warner Bros Television libraries, including shows such as Succession, Game of Thrones, Euphoria, Friends and The Sopranos, alongside major film franchises including Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings.

Warner Bros Discovery will begin a major marketing campaign across television, radio, digital and outdoor advertising from 23 March as it prepares for the service’s arrival in the two markets.
