Freely has appointed Synapse TV to create and operate its Freely Showcase service on channel 100 of the streaming platform.
The IP-only channel is available exclusively to Freely viewers and is designed to promote platform highlights, feature updates and how-to content aimed at improving content discovery and helping users navigate the service.
Under the agreement, Synapse TV will handle scheduling, automated playout and IP distribution for the channel. It will also manage playlist scheduling, content preparation and delivery into the Freely IP environment, allowing the service to be updated regularly as the platform develops.
John Furlong, director of operations at Everyone TV, said Freely Showcase is intended to help viewers make fuller use of the platform by highlighting what is available and how to access it.
Chris Wass, director at Synapse TV, said the company was pleased to support Freely with the scheduling, playout and delivery of channel 100, ensuring the service remains reliable and aligned with ongoing platform changes.
Freely Showcase is available on channel 100 within the Freely platform.
