Leyra has officially launched as the new company formed from the joint venture between Accedo One and Magine Pro, bringing together their respective OTT technology platforms into a single SaaS offer aimed at streaming providers.
The Stockholm-based business combines Magine Pro’s end-to-end OTT platform, which covers the full subscriber lifecycle, with Accedo One’s OTT technology and its Accedo One Marketplace, designed to simplify third-party integrations through an open partner ecosystem.
The companies said the combined offer is intended to help OTT providers attract audiences, increase engagement and improve retention, while also giving them greater flexibility to extend services and support growth.
Markus Hejdenberg, CEO of Leyra, said the new company aims to build on the strengths of both businesses. “Leyra is about bringing together complementary technology and expertise from two well established market leaders to create a global leader in SaaS solutions for OTT streaming,” he said.
Matthew Wilkinson, chief commercial officer at Leyra, said the streaming market had become more complex, making it harder for platforms to make the right growth decisions. He said Leyra would support customers beyond launch with tools, data and ecosystem partnerships designed to help services scale.
Leyra said its combined team draws on experience from direct-to-consumer operations, greenfield service launches and work with established media companies reaching more than 1 million monthly active users.
The company added that existing customers of both Accedo One and Magine Pro will continue to be supported, while gaining access over time to a broader feature set from the combined platform.
