Vivacom has added BBC First and BBC Earth to its EON television platform in Bulgaria, extending the line-up of premium factual and entertainment services available to subscribers.
BBC First, which Vivacom described as a Bulgarian premiere channel, is now available to customers taking the EON Premium package on channel position 63. The service brings a slate of British drama and crime titles including Death in Paradise, Beyond Paradise, Sister Boniface Mysteries and The Tourist.
BBC Earth has also joined the platform and is available to EON Full and EON Premium customers on channel position 313. The channel’s line-up includes landmark factual programming such as Planet Earth and Blue Planet.
Lyubomir Maloselski, Director of Products and Services at Vivacom, said the additions formed part of a broader strategy to strengthen EON with internationally recognised premium content serving a range of viewing tastes.
The operator said it has added more than 10 new channels across its TV platforms in recent months. These include SkyShowtime, premium linear channels SkyShowtime 1 and SkyShowtime 2, the Arena-branded channels Arena Action, Arena Comedy and Arena Life, and documentary channel Love Nature.
