TV4 has extended its exclusive broadcasting agreement with Swedish ice hockey league HockeyAllsvenskan through to the 2029/2030 season.
The new deal, which takes effect from the 2026/2027 season, will see all matches continue to be shown on TV4 Play and across TV4’s sports channels.
Johan Cederqvist, Sports Director at TV4, said the renewal strengthens the broadcaster’s long-term investment in Swedish sport.
He said the extension secures a key part of TV4’s hockey coverage and supports the company’s strategy of building a strong portfolio around the country’s most popular leagues.
The agreement also reinforces TV4’s wider sports rights portfolio, which includes football competitions Allsvenskan and Superettan, the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), and the Olympic Games through to 2032.
Cederqvist described HockeyAllsvenskan as one of Sweden’s most intense and audience-friendly leagues and said the broadcaster plans to continue developing its coverage and growing interest in the competition.
Gabriel Monidelle, CEO of HockeyAllsvenskan, said the new agreement continues a successful partnership between the league and TV4 that has lasted for a decade.
He added that the deal will allow the league, its clubs and TV4 to further develop the competition and expand its reach among supporters.
Niclas Fröberg, chairman of HockeyAllsvenskan, said the renewed partnership with TV4 and Schibsted would help strengthen the league over the coming seasons.
The agreement runs from the 2026/2027 season through to spring 2030.
