TV streaming provider Zattoo has appointed Tina Rodriguez as Interim CEO effective 1 April 2026, succeeding Roger Elsener, who will step down at the end of April to become Director of SRF, Swiss public broadcaster SRG’s affiliate serving the German-speaking part of the country.
The decision was taken by Zattoo’s Board of Directors as the Swiss company prepares for Elsener’s departure. He has served as CEO since October 2024 and will leave Zattoo on 30 April at his own request.
During his tenure, Zattoo strengthened its market position through several partnerships and distribution deals. These included advertising sales collaborations with HBO Max and Paramount+, new platform partnerships with Digitec Galaxus, Waoo, Kabelnoord and WWZ, as well as the integration of the streaming services operated by German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF.
Rodriguez joined Zattoo in January 2026 as Chief Consumer Officer, responsible for the company’s direct-to-consumer business and corporate communications. Prior to joining the Zurich-based streaming provider, she held senior leadership roles at Liberty Global, Sunrise, UPC Switzerland and Unitymedia, focusing on customer experience, entertainment products and growth programmes.
“Zattoo is very well positioned in the market,” Rodriguez said. “I am looking forward to continuing and further developing our strategy in close collaboration with the Board of Directors and the management team, while also bringing new impulses both internally and externally.”
Elsener added: “I would like to thank the Board of Directors and my colleagues at Zattoo for the trust they have placed in me over the past one and a half years. Leaving is not an easy decision, but I am very excited to take on this unique professional opportunity at SRF.”
Daniel Mönch, Chairman of Zattoo’s Board of Directors, said: “We would like to thank Roger Elsener for his strong commitment and his valuable contributions to Zattoo. With Tina Rodriguez, we are appointing a strong leader from within our own ranks who combines stability with fresh perspectives.”
