YES selects Synamedia Iris for advanced advertising rollout

March 11, 2026 11.41 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Israeli pay-TV operator YES has selected Synamedia Iris to support the rollout of advanced advertising services across its television and streaming platforms.

The deployment will allow YES, part of the Bezeq Group, to introduce addressable advertising as it looks to develop new ad-funded business models and increase monetisation of its premium content.

Synamedia said Iris will unify ad insertion across YES’s TV and streaming devices, including set-top boxes and OTT applications on smart TVs. The platform uses server-side ad insertion technology to deliver advertising across multiple endpoints while maintaining a consistent viewing experience.

The vendor added that the system has been designed to work with YES’s existing technology partners, helping simplify ad operations and providing a platform for future growth in advertising revenues.

Iris will also be integrated with YES’s streaming platform, which is powered by Synamedia Go Experience Manager. The wider deployment also includes Synamedia technologies and services such as Fluid Edge CDN, security and disaster recovery.

Itzik Elyakim, VP of engineering at YES, said: “As we continue to evolve our services to meet changing viewer preferences and market dynamics, advanced advertising capabilities are essential to our strategy. Synamedia Iris provides the technology we need to deliver premium ad experiences that maintain the high quality of experience our subscribers expect.”

Guy Southam, senior product director, Synamedia Iris, said: “As consumer habits evolve, ad-supported business models are increasingly important for telco operators like YES. I am pleased to work with YES to provide its customers and advertising partners with unified, personalised, relevant advertising, seamlessly integrated into their existing technology ecosystem.”

YES joins a growing list of operators using Synamedia Iris, including OSN, MTN and Astro.
