Eurovision Sport will provide live and on-demand subtitling across its coverage of the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games through a partnership with AI language specialist CAMB.AI.
The free-to-air streaming platform, operated by the European Broadcasting Union, said the service will run throughout the Games from 6-15 March and cover all 6 sports on the programme.
CAMB.AI will supply real-time speech-to-text transcription for both live and on-demand streams, allowing audiences to follow events with subtitles without changing the editorial output of the original broadcasts.
Eurovision Sport said the move forms part of its wider effort to improve access to major sporting events online, while complementing coverage from EBU members. The platform added that the Paralympic Winter Games coverage will form part of its most comprehensive digital offer for the event to date.
Alan Fagan, managing director of Eurovision Sport, said the aim was to make the Games available to the widest possible audience.
He added the addition of real-time subtitling across every event would expand digital accessibility and help more viewers follow the action live.
CAMB.AI CTO Akshat Prakash said Eurovision Sport had shown leadership in sports innovation and said the company expected to continue supporting the platform’s accessibility requirements.
Eurovision Sport and CAMB.AI have been working together since 2024, when they partnered on what was described as Europe’s first AI-powered real-time translated sports commentary during European Athletics events.
The latest agreement reflects a growing focus on accessibility tools in sports production and distribution, particularly for hearing-impaired audiences, viewers watching without sound and users accessing content on demand.
