Viasat World has entered the Maltese market through a new distribution agreement with Melita TV, extending its European footprint.
Under the deal, Melita TV subscribers will gain access to five Viasat World channels as part of the operator’s L package: Viasat History, Viasat Explore, Viasat Nature, Epic Drama and Viasat True Crime.
Viasat World CEO Benjamin Groocock said the partnership gives the broadcaster “immediate reach and visibility” as it introduces its factual portfolio, premium drama brand and the recently launched true crime channel to Maltese viewers.
Melita Limited’s Head of Marketing, Product & Strategy Simon Poljsak said the addition of Viasat World’s channels strengthens the platform’s offer with a mix spanning history, natural history, adventure factual and international drama, supported by Melita’s interactive TV features.
The agreement expands Viasat World’s distribution in Southern Europe and adds further carriage for Viasat True Crime alongside its established factual and drama brands.
