ITV and Disney expand partnership with primetime Hulu Originals window

February 24, 2026 11.13 Europe/London By Julian Clover

The Stolen Girl, will receive its free-to-air UK premiere on 25 February

ITV and The Walt Disney Company have extended their strategic relationship in the UK, adding an exclusive primetime linear window for two Hulu Original dramas on ITV1.

The move builds on the content-sharing agreement between Disney+ and ITVX that launched in July 2025, which introduced the ‘A Taste of Disney+’ rail on ITVX and the ‘A Taste of ITVX’ rail on Disney+.

Karl Holmes, General Manager, Disney+ EMEA, said the agreement represented “an exciting next step” in the collaboration, adding that airing the series on ITV’s primetime platform would introduce millions more viewers to Hulu Originals on Disney+.

Under the new deal, two Hulu Originals from Disney+ will air on ITV1 in branded slots titled “Disney+ presents a Hulu Original”.

Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of Media and Entertainment at ITV, said the deal would bring “premium Original series” into the broadcaster’s primetime linear schedule and further demonstrate the strength of the content-sharing model established last summer.

The first title, The Stolen Girl, will receive its free-to-air UK premiere on 25 February. The psychological drama, produced by Quay Street Productions with Brightstar, debuted on Disney+ in April 2025. The series centres on the disappearance of a young girl following a sleepover, exploring the emotional fallout for her family in a story of deception and betrayal.

Later this year, The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox will also air on ITV1. The drama revisits the high-profile criminal case that drew global attention, examining themes of media scrutiny, justice and public perception.

The extension marks a further evolution of the ITV–Disney relationship, taking it beyond streaming discovery into a primetime free-to-air window designed to broaden reach for Hulu Originals.
