SPI International has expanded its FilmBox+ streaming service in Southeast Europe, officially launching in Bulgaria and Serbia through A1.
The rollout builds on FilmBox+’s existing footprint in Poland, Hungary and Romania, with further A1 markets lined up. North Macedonia is next, expected to go live in March, followed by Slovenia and Croatia in the coming months.
The launches are part of a broader agreement signed with A1 Group in June 2025. Under that deal, A1 acts as a key distribution and delivery partner for SPI International’s portfolio, including both its linear TV channels and its SVOD offer, across multiple Southeast European territories.
Erwan Luherne, Managing Director at SPI International, said the partnership underlines SPI’s focus on delivering premium entertainment experiences to wider audiences. “Our partnership with A1 Group is a testament to SPI’s commitment to delivering premium entertainment experiences to global audiences. With FilmBox+, we offer a rich content library that resonates with diverse audiences. As our flagship digital product, FilmBox+ is designed to provide seamless access to high-quality content anytime, anywhere, ensuring an intuitive and engaging viewing experience.”
FilmBox+ complements SPI’s linear brands including FilmBox and DIZI, with a catalogue spanning films, documentaries and thematic programming, alongside an expanding selection of Korean series and Turkish dramas, localised for each market. The service is available via web, mobile apps and Smart TVs, and supports up to 5 profiles with streaming on up to 3 devices, plus parental controls.
