Virgin Media O2 will add Sky Atlantic to its Virgin TV platform from 1 April 2026, giving more than 1 million Virgin TV customers access to the channel at no extra cost.
The channel will be available to new and existing Virgin TV 360 and Virgin TV Stream customers who take Sky Entertainment channels, currently including Sky Comedy and Sky Witness, with Sky One due to relaunch. Sky Atlantic will appear on channel 111, with content also available on-demand and via Virgin TV Go.
Sky Atlantic launched in 2011 in part as a vehicle for Sky’s output deal with HBO, but has never been available to Virgin customers. In the past executives have said they could not justify the fees that Sky were asking for the channel.
Virgin Media O2 now describes the channel as an enhancement to its service. David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, said the operator’s focus is “seamless entertainment at incredible value”, adding that Sky Atlantic brings “gripping drama and incredible stories from the UK and the US” to Virgin TV customers without additional cost or action required.
Virgin customers will also be able to subscribe to HBO Max when the streamer makes its UK debut on March 25.
New customers can access Sky Atlantic via Virgin TV and broadband Flex bundles, with pricing starting from £31.99 (€36.62) per month.
