Hisense says sales of its Freely-enabled televisions have surpassed 1 million units in the UK, marking a major milestone for the manufacturer’s partnership with Everyone TV’s streaming platform.
Freely was introduced across Hisense 4K TVs in 2024, offering subscription-free access to live and on-demand programming from the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, without the need for an aerial. The platform delivers more than 60 live channels and around 75,000 hours of on-demand content, with viewing delivered over Wi-Fi.
Hisense said the Freely integration has supported evolving viewing habits as audiences increasingly shift between rooms in the home, including “garden rooms”, while keeping free-to-view TV prominent through a single interface.
The company also pointed to recent product innovation, including its RGB MiniLED technology, which uses separate red, green and blue light sources to generate colour at the backlight. Hisense has positioned itself as the first TV brand to bring consumer RGB MiniLED to market.
Everyone TV CEO Jonathan Thompson said Freely is “built on the principle of partnership”, bringing UK broadcasters and manufacturers together to create a simpler experience for viewers, adding that growth on the platform is accelerating as awareness increases.
Hisense UK vice president Howard Grindrod said the Freely partnership has helped shape the company’s core product range, calling the 1 million sales figure “a milestone” and pointing to plans around major sports events, including Hisense’s FIFA World Cup 26 sponsorship.
