The new unit, based in the Hungarian capital, will provide playout and ingest operations for RTL Hungary, supporting day-to-day broadcast continuity, operational monitoring and coordination with BCE’s wider service network. The move adds a dedicated operational team located close to customer operations.
Initially, BCE Hungary will focus on broadcast operations, with plans to progressively expand the company’s portfolio of services across the region.
The launch extends BCE’s European footprint. Headquartered in Luxembourg at RTL City, the company also operates subsidiaries in Paris, Munich and Namur, and maintains activities in London. BCE is part of RTL Group.
“The opening of our Hungarian subsidiary reflects BCE’s strategy to strengthen its operational footprint in Europe and support the expansion of our broadcast services across the region,” said Christophe Goossens, CEO of Broadcasting Center Europe.
Frédéric Fiévez, COO of Broadcasting Center Europe, added: “This expansion supports the evolution of our media operating model, enabling us to extend our services to existing clients and support future developments in the CEE and DACH region within our media managed services framework.”
