BBC Studios has struck a new long-term partnership with Atmedia Group that will see Atmedia take over advertising sales for BBC Earth in Hungary from April 2026.
BBC Earth is carried in Hungary in a local language version, offering natural history and science programming from BBC Studios’ factual slate.
Atmedia already handles commercial ad sales in the market for a number of international media groups, representing channels and brands including those from Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery and Viasat World.
Atmedia CEO Csaba Guttengéber said the deal supports the company’s strategy of building “stable and predictable” partnerships with global content brands. “As a long-term, reliable and strategically minded partner this multi-year cooperation around BBC Earth provides a solid foundation, and we are confident that this partnership can be further expanded in the future”.
Bartosz Witak, SVP and general manager for CEE, MENA and Turkey at BBC Studios, added BBC Earth’s premium factual positioning aligns with Hungarian audience expectations. “With its strong market presence, international portfolio management expertise, and deep local market knowledge. We are pleased to launch this cooperation, with At Media creating a strong basis for a successful long-term collaboration”
