DAZN has launched a new interactive feature inside its mobile app that will let registered users take part in live chat sessions with footballers, with AI-powered translation designed to support multi-language participation.
The first players confirmed for the launch include Barcelona’s Alejandro Balde and Fermín López, Inter’s Lautaro Martínez and Chelsea’s Enzo Fernández. DAZN says the first live session, hosted by Balde, is scheduled for Wednesday 18 February.
The rollout begins in Spain, with DAZN saying the first two live chats will be available there before expanding globally. The feature is powered by fan-engagement platform The Residency, which specialises in real-time “fan conference” style interactions between players and supporters.
DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev said the product is aimed at bringing fans closer to sport through real-time interaction, while The Residency founder Mathieu Golan described the sessions as a shift from passive viewing to participation.
