Tivify appoints ex-Vodafone executive Javier Fernández as CEO

February 10, 2026 13.45 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Spanish streaming TV platform Tivify has appointed Javier Fernández as its new CEO, as the service pushes its next phase of growth and greater operational autonomy within TVUP Streaming Media Group.

Fernández brings more than 20 years of experience in consumer-oriented digital products and services and an extended spell at Vodafone Spain. He led the launch of a series of IoT solutions and the exclusive launch of Netflix in Spain.

“I am joining Tivify as CEO with great enthusiasm to lead a new phase of growth, driving the development of new home services and expanding the company’s value proposition,” said Javier Fernández. He added: “I am confident that, together with the team, we will continue to advance in innovation, customer experience, and new opportunities for expansion.”

Edwin Elberg, CEO of TVUP Streaming Media Group, added: “Javier knows our product’s DNA better than anyone and has the strategic vision to turn Tivify not only into a profitable standalone business, but also into a beacon of innovation guiding our entire B2B platform. His leadership ensures we remain agile in local markets while scaling our operations internationally.”

Tivify has worked with Paramount, ZDF, the BBC and Thema, amongst others.
