Bitmovin has appointed Ian Baglow as co-chief executive officer, introducing a shared leadership structure with existing CEO and co-founder Stefan Lederer.
Under the new setup, Baglow will run day-to-day operations and focus on strengthening customer and partner relationships, while Lederer shifts more of his time towards strategic developments and broader market positioning, including the next phase of Bitmovin’s technology roadmap.
Baglow joined Bitmovin in 2021 as chief revenue officer, tasked with driving customer retention and new customer acquisition. His remit expanded in 2024 when he became president, chief revenue and operations officer. Prior to Bitmovin, Baglow held senior executive roles including at BAE Systems and cyber security specialist SilverSky.
“I’m honoured to be appointed as co-CEO,” said Baglow, adding that the shared leadership model will allow the pair to combine complementary strengths as Bitmovin targets further growth.
Lederer said Baglow has played a key role in the company’s recent expansion and that the new structure will enable him to concentrate more on technology development and longer-term strategy as the video streaming vendor looks to consolidate its market position.
