Telenor IoT says it has surpassed 30 million connected units worldwide, marking a new milestone for its cellular IoT connectivity business.
The company is positioning the growth around a single-SIM, single-contract connectivity management platform model, with recent additions including AI-driven analytics, early adoption of the GSMA’s SGP.32 eSIM standard for IoT, and a new automotive offer, IoT Drive, aimed at the software-defined vehicle market.
“Surpassing 30 million connected units is a testament to the trust our customers place in us and the strength of our global IoT strategy,” said Mats Lundquist, CEO of Telenor Connexion and Head of Telenor IoT. “We will continue to innovate and invest in technologies that help enterprises scale connected solutions securely and efficiently. Our goal remains clear: to be the first choice for IoT.”
The announcement follows Telenor’s wider effort to consolidate and scale its IoT operations into a more unified global proposition, as the operator targets continued international growth.
