OKAST has joined the UHD World Association (UWA) and will integrate the association’s HDR Vivid and Audio Vivid technologies into its OTT platform ecosystem, as it targets further expansion across European and Asian markets.
The company said the move will allow OKAST-powered services to offer premium-grade picture and sound, with the Vivid stack designed to improve video clarity, colour accuracy and dynamic range alongside more immersive audio rendering across a broad range of devices and network conditions.
OKAST CEO Cédric Monnier said the UWA collaboration supports the delivery of “premium, future-ready services”, while UWA secretary general Vincent Zhang said the partnership would broaden access to Vivid video and audio technologies across OTT services.
UWA said the HDR Vivid and Audio Vivid standards are being adopted by organisations including ITU, IEC and DVB.
The integration is underway and will be rolled out progressively across OKAST deployments.
