Vodafone Germany has begun supplying new customers in Germany with the latest generation of its GigaTV Home TV box.
The British-backed company has upgraded the hardware to add support for Dolby Vision HDR and introducing a redesigned remote control with illuminated buttons.
The operator said the refreshed GigaTV Home 4 continues to combine TV channels, streaming services, catch-up libraries and video-on-demand within a single interface. Features include replay and timeshift, cloud recordings, an iOS/Android TV app, recommendations, enhanced search and multiroom support.
Vodafone said the GigaTV Home Sound model remains unchanged, keeping its integrated speaker system tuned by Bang & Olufsen and Dolby Atmos support.
Pricing is unchanged, with GigaTV Home offered at €9.99 per month for the first 6 months of a 24-month contract, rising to €14.99 per month thereafter. The included TV package provides 82 SD channels and 57 HD channels, with additional HD available via Vodafone Premium for €5 per month. Vodafone also continues to offer app-only viewing via GigaTV Mobile for €9.99 per month.
